Mr. Tani: Yes, toward the post office. But she didn’t get that far.

She stopped in front of the bookshop and ran across the street.

A few seconds later I saw her come out of the side entrance and the next thing I knew, she was running past the bank on the corner.

Mr. Tani: Not so tall. Oh, did I say white trousers? Actually, she was wearing blue trousers, and her T-shirt was white, with blue writing on it.

Police Officer: Well, thank you, you’ve been very helpful.

Mr. Tani: That’s OK. What has she done, by the way?
谷氏: どういたしまして。ところで、彼女は何をしたんですか。
Police Officer: It’s nothing very serious, but I’d like to speak to her.
警官: たいしたことではないんですが、ちょっと話を伺いたいことがありまして。
