A global scale of happiness ( a ) by the United National Sustainable Development Solutions Network ranks Japan in the 58th spot, its lowest showing to date, and Finland in the No. 1 position.
国連の「持続可能な開発ソリューション・ネットワーク」が発行した世界幸福度ランキングでは、日本はこれまでで最低の58位、1位はフィンランドだった。
The survey, released March 20, rated the happiness level of 156 countries and regions.
3月20日に発表されたこの調査は、156の国と地域の幸福度を評価したものである。
Most other countries that made the top 5 on the list are in Northern Europe.
その他、上位5位までにランクインした国のほとんどは北欧である。
The United States ranked 19th. South Korea placed 54th and China was in the 93rd position.
アメリカは19位。韓国は54位、中国は93位だった。
In each country or region, respondents were asked to evaluate the quality of their lives on a scale of zero to 10. The latest report reflects the past three years between 2016 and 2018.
それぞれの国や地域で、回答者は生活の質を0から10段階で評価するよう求められた。最新のレポートは2016年から2018年の過去3年間を反映している。
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network also analyzed 6 factors that could ( c ) to each country’s happiness level, ( d ) as per capita gross domestic product (GDP) and healthy life expectancy. Japan ranked second in ( e ) of healthy life expectancy, and 24th in per capita GDP. However, its 64th ranking in ( f ) to make life choices and 92nd ranking in generosity lowered its overall standing.
持続可能な開発ソリューション・ネットワークはまた、各国の幸福度に貢献しうる6つの要因、例えば、一人当たり国内総生産（GDP）と健康寿命、についても分析した。日本は、健康寿命の点では2位、一人当たりGDPでは24位だった。しかし、「人生の選択をする自由」の64位、「寛大さ」の92位によって、総合的な順位は下がった。
